いざわせいとう
愛知県碧南市で素焼鉢をつくる「井澤製陶」。通気性、調湿性に優れた素焼鉢は「呼吸する鉢」であり、自然環境とは異なる屋内の植物にこそ必要なもの。現代の住環境に適した、そこにあるべき形を求めて植木鉢づくりに取り組みました。
UFOポット
これまでのハンギングの鉢は、置くことを前提とした鉢をいかに吊るすか、だったように思います。そうではなく、置かないことを前提に、シーンを屋内のハンギングのみに限定することで、発想はより自由になれました。ハンギングならではの浮遊感が楽しめること、空中でも安定感があること、植物をより美しく見せること、あらゆる条件を満たす形を求めていった結果、扁平なシルエットのUFOポットが生まれました。
土について／常滑（とこなめ）
急須や湯のみで馴染みの深い「常滑焼」の赤土を高温で焼き締めているので、肌理が細かく滑らか。料理を引き立たせる器のように、植物を引き立たせてくれます。

Izawa Seito
The company 'Izawa Seito' creates unglazed pots in Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture. Unglazed pots have superior air permeability and moisture control. These “breathing pots” are particularly required by indoor plants separated from their natural environment. We have attempted to make an appropriately shaped pot suited to modern living environments.
UFO Pot
Conventional hanging pots are constructed in a shape that allows placement on surfaces, so it had to be decided how to hang a pot created on the premise of being placed on something. Deciding on a pot that was not meant to be placed anywhere, but to be hung indoors, provided more freedom for creativity. After searching for a shape that satisfied various conditions for pot hanging such as allowing the sense of floating to be enjoyed, imparting a sense of stability even in the air, and presenting the plant in a more aesthetically pleasing manner, the flat silhouette-shaped UFO Pot was born.
About the clay / Tokoname
The red soil used for “Tokoname-Yaki,” which you are familiar with from its use in teapots and teacups, is baked at a high temperature, thereby refining and smoothening its texture. Like a vessel that enhances the appearance of the food, this pot brings out the beauty of your plants.
