ボードテーブルは、木の強さと優しさを表現したテーブルです。天板と脚を同じ板状（ボード）にすることで、より木という素材の力強い一体感を作り出しました。丸くなめらかな陰影によって浮かび上がる天板のシャープな輪郭、幕板の無いすっきりとした構造、そして、真っ直ぐに下りた脚。それらは静かで澄んだ印象をテーブルに与えています。脚の配置は、堅牢な構造から導き出されたもの。見る角度を変えれば脚のボリュームも変わり、そこに入る椅子とも相まって心地よいリズムが生まれます。

木製の学習机を長年作ってきたメーカー「杉工場」のオリジナルライン。自然としての木の存在感を捉えること、そこに小さな子どもがいても優しい存在であること、その子どもが大人になっても使える丈夫で普遍的なデザインであること、この３つを軸に据えて、私たちはポールチェアとボードテーブルを開発しました。

The sharp contours of the tabletop, which emerge through round and smooth shading, the clean structure without a curtain panel, and the straight legs give the table a quiet and clear impression. The volume of the legs changes as you look at the table from different angles, creating a comfortable rhythm that harmonizes with the chairs arranged on the table.

This is an original line from Sugikojo co.,ltd., a manufacturer that has been making wooden study desks for many years. We developed our pole chairs and board tables based on three key concepts: capturing the presence of wood as nature, having a gentle presence for small children there, and a sturdy, inclusive design that can be used even when those children become adults.
